Concluding Prayers

After the Torah reading, sermon, and/or silent prayer, it's time for our service to come to a conclusion: we praise God for making us Am Yisrael special in the Aleinu, then we exclaim God's greatness in honor of those in mourning within our community with Kaddish Yatom (the Mourner's Kaddish). As we prepare to transition from "prayer-world" back to "real-world," we wrap up the service with any number of concluding songs -- the possibilities are endless, and it's the service leader's choice!

Aleinu - עָלֵינוּ
Mourner's Kaddish - קָדִישׁ יָתוֹם

Some closing song possibilities include (but are not limited to):

Od Yavo Shalom - עוֹד יָבוֹא שָׁלוֹם
Ein Keiloheinu - אֵין כֵּאלֹהֵנוּ
Adon Olam - אָדוֹן עוֹלָם
